Contrary to speculation from numerous media and tenant advocates, there was no tsunami of evictions. In fact, evictions are still below their pre-pandemic levels, which indicates that property owners continue to work with their residents. Also, the attorneys discuss the US Department of Treasury’s decision to allow rental assistance to pay owners, even after the resident moves out.
